About this kit.
From the official Laws of Cricket or a competition’s playing conditions you paste: the situation, the correct decision, the Law it rests on, in the style of an umpiring accreditation test. EdProcto is not affiliated with any governing body.
What the sports, officiating and coaching kits are
The laws and rules of the games, for players, coaches, officials and fans: cricket, football, rugby, basketball, tennis, hockey and more, with video judgement calls, situational rulings and the numbers of the game. For officiating courses, club tests and quiz nights.
Why they are built this way
An official knows the rulebook and applies it in a second. The situational shapes give the incident and ask the ruling; the video shape shows it. A player or a fan who knows the laws enjoys the game more. EdProcto is not affiliated with any federation or governing body.
How to use them
Use the rules kits for the laws and the situational kits for the judgement. A club or league can paste its own rulebook and run its officiating test on it. For a quiz night, host the sports trivia kit on the projector.
Written from your material
This kit is a recipe: the shape, the number of questions, the sections and the instructions Procto AI follows. Paste your own material and the questions are written from it, each with the passage its answer came from. Procto AI is asked to keep to your material, and each key is yours to check; every question is yours to edit before anyone sees it.
The shape: multiple choice
The workhorse of assessment: one right answer among plausible options, marked at once, comparable across every student. Written well, the wrong options map the misconceptions in the room.
EdProcto marks selection questions by rule the moment the answer is given. Several-answer shapes give credit for the part that is right when partial credit is on; negative marking takes one over the number of wrong options, so guessing earns nothing on average; a confidence rating earns a bonus when sure and right and a larger penalty when sure and wrong, so it pays only when it is honest. Options can be shuffled per student, and the analysis shows which wrong option beat the right one.
Taking it
Open it in study mode for the answer and the explanation after each question, and a retry of only what you missed. Switch to exam mode for the real conditions. It comes due again in a few days; the dashboard shows what is due and what you missed last time. Share it with a code for a class, print it as a paper, or host it on a screen for a room.
Questions.
- What is in the Cricket: the Laws, for umpires and scorers (any level) kit?
- From the official Laws of Cricket or a competition’s playing conditions you paste: the situation, the correct decision, the Law it rests on, in the style of an umpiring accreditation test. EdProcto is not affiliated with any governing body. It writes 10 questions from the material you paste, in the Multiple choice shape, and is asked to keep each to it.
- Does it cost anything?
- A free account opens every kit. Procto AI’s writing runs on a monthly allowance that the free plan includes; a children’s kit uses none of it, because its questions are made by rule.
- What happens after the quiz?
- The study screen shows the answer and the explanation after each question, then the questions missed, and offers a retry of those. Come back in a few days and take it again: what is still right then is what is known.
