For students.
Know what you know before the exam does.

Paste a chapter or your notes and test yourself on them in half a minute. The answer and the explanation after every question, a retry of what you missed, and the same questions again in a few days when memory needs them. Or open a ready-made kit for your subject and level.

What you get.

A quiz from your own material

Paste a chapter or your notes, and Procto AI writes the questions from it, each with the place in the text its answer is found.

Study mode

The answer and a plain explanation after each question, so every miss teaches. Nothing is hidden until the end.

What you don't know yet

After each attempt, the list of what you missed, and a retry of only those questions.

Re-tests when they count

The quiz comes due again in a few days: the spacing that turns a night's cramming into memory.

A whole book, chapter by chapter

Upload the book; a quiz per chapter; a map of which chapters you hold and which you don't.

Kits for your subject

Hundreds of ready-made quizzes across every subject and level, made fresh each time you open them.

How it goes.

  1. Step 1
    Paste what you are learning

A chapter, your notes, a handout; a past paper where its exam board’s terms allow. At least a paragraph.

  2. Step 2
    Take it at once

The questions come in half a minute, and the study screen tells you after each one how you did and why.

  3. Step 3
Come back when it is due

Your dashboard shows what is due for a re-test and what you missed last time.

Why it is built this way.

Reading a chapter again feels like learning; testing yourself on it is learning. The research on retrieval practice is one of the most replicated findings in the study of memory: pulling an answer out of your head strengthens it more than putting it in again. EdProcto is built so that the test is the easiest thing to do with a chapter.

The questions are written from your own material, not from a generic bank, so they test what your course actually covers, in the words your textbook uses. Each is written from the text, and shows you the passage it came from.

The re-test is scheduled for you. Spacing is the second most replicated finding, and the hardest to do by hand; the dashboard does it.

Questions.

Is it free for students?
Yes. A free account gives you the kits, study mode, re-tests and a monthly allowance of Procto AI's writing. The Learner plan raises the allowance for heavy use.
Will it work for my subject?
Any subject with written material: paste it and the questions come from it. The kits cover mathematics, the sciences, languages, English, history and geography, business, health, law, engineering, computing and the arts, at every level from primary to postgraduate.
What if the questions are wrong?
Each question is written from your material and shows the passage it came from, so you can check it for yourself. You can edit or delete any question.
