For candidates.
Practise the test before you sit it.

Employers test numerical, verbal, abstract and logical reasoning, situational judgement and job skills. Practise every one of them here, made fresh each time so you learn the reasoning and not the answers, with the working explained after every question.

What you get.

The reasoning battery

Numerical, verbal, abstract, logical, mechanical, data checking and situational judgement, made fresh each time you open them.

The working, every time

After each question, how the answer is reached, so the next one of its kind is faster.

Timed like the real thing

Set the clock and sit it under exam conditions when you are ready.

Skills by role

Kits for sales, software, nursing, accounting, customer service and more, from the knowledge the role rests on.

Interview practice

Record your answers to common interview questions and hear yourself back.

Your own job description

Paste the posting and a quiz on what it asks for comes back.

How it goes.

  1. Step 1
    Open the battery

Free, without an account, as many times as you like.

  2. Step 2
    Learn from the working

Study mode explains every answer; retry only what you missed.

  3. Step 3
    Sit it timed

Exam mode with the clock on, for the real conditions.

Why it is built this way.

Aptitude tests are learnable. The reasoning they measure improves with practice, and the biggest gain comes from seeing the working after each question rather than only a score at the end. Because EdProcto's battery is made by rule, every sitting is new: you cannot memorise it, so what improves is the skill.

Questions.

Is the practice free?
Yes. The reasoning battery and the role kits open on a free account, and the rule-made ones are unlimited.
Is this an IQ test?
No. These are reasoning tests in the style of the standard aptitude batteries. A score is a score on this test; EdProcto gives no IQ and claims no norm.
